The Vacancy
Location: Hybrid Worker – East Lancashire
Hours: Full Time 29.5 hours per week Monday to Thursday
Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, this is a junior technical role within the IT infrastructure team.
You will be responsible for supporting the technical infrastructure of various Liberata clients under the supervision of senior infrastructure engineer staff. Your focus will be on providing incident/problem resolution and change implementation to support IT delivery along with proactive day to day monitoring and management. Assist in the delivery of projects and DR tests as required.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Under supervision of senior infrastructure engineer, provide support for internal and external client systems with regard to proactive and reactive maintenance within SLA’s and adhering to KPI’s
Initiate change control or problem management procedure as appropriate in accordance with ITIL practice.
To undertake any duties assigned from the Service Requests, Incident Management, Change Control and Problem Management and ensure compliance with SLA’s.
Under the supervision of senior infrastructure engineer, manage infrastructure systems and services to ensure that KPI’s are met.
Under the supervision of senior infrastructure engineer, support and maintain the data, cloud and telephony infrastructure and associated systems and services.
Under the supervision of senior infrastructure engineer, support and maintain Active directory, Microsoft Windows File and Print servers and other operational servers and devices.
Under the supervision of senior infrastructure engineer, support and maintain the VMware VSphere & Hyper-V environment and associated server and storage systems.
Ensure security standards are met across all systems in accordance with ISO2001 and compliance with the PSN and other government security standards.
Multi system diagnostics and root cause analysis.
Maintain system information and documentation.
To monitor and ensure that suppliers conform to contractual arrangements, highlighting any issues to the Infrastructure Design & Support Manager.
To develop and manage full product lifecycle support for all assets within direct control, highlighting end of life to Infrastructure Design & Support Manager.
To attend training identified as necessary to undertake current and future job requirements.
To conform to all IT policies and have full understanding of all Data Protection and Freedom of Information policies relating to stored data.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
1 years of experience in an IT technical role supporting client server network environments.
Supporting & maintaining Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy in a Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019 environment.
Awareness of VMware VSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V and associated storage systems.
Generalist technical knowledge gained from 1-2 years of technical experience on servers, operating systems, network devices.
Knowledge of network security standards and systems and managing complex firewalls, routers and switches.
Ability to create technical documentation.

Flexibility – this role will require some out of normal working hours and travel as necessary to meet the client requirements.
Communication – strong communication skills both orally and in written presentation form.
