This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We have vacancy for a Service Delivery Manager to manage the transactional Finance and Accounts services for a number of our clients.  This service currently covers Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Rent Accounts and BACs Payment services. More services may be included as the client base grows. The ideal candidate will have experience of managing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable service lines.  In addition they should have experience of successfully implementing process improvements and driving through change management. They will be expected to bring strong service delivery management to all aspects of the designated contracts. They will provide the required focus to deliver outstanding contract performance by ensuring the team meets their Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements and maximises all revenue generating opportunities.  At the same time they will ensure that robust controls are in place to ensure accuracy of processing and mitigate against errors. The post holder will be required to transform these service areas by implementing new ways of working, including the adoption of new technology, as well as grow the scope of the business with our existing and new clients.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Managing the teams performance against budget and cash targets.
  • Implement and communicate operational strategies and solutions in line with the Business Plan.
  • Working with the Senior Management team to identify and deliver new F&A services and win new clients.
  • Identify and realise opportunities for account development in order to achieve the agreed level of organic growth.
  • Achieving contractual Service Level Agreements across the service and meeting all Key Performance Indicators.
  • Ensuring all policies and procedures relating to the Services Lines under management are implemented and adhered to.
  • Providing leadership and development of the service teams.
  • Identify, develop and implement process improvements and opportunities for automation across the service
  • Driving and delivering process changes in order to improve the delivery of the services.
  • Ensure staffing levels are met and managed.
  • Setting and managing the teams performance targets.
  • Ensuring that operational risks are identified and controlled across the service.
  • Ensuring Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery requirements are discussed with the Service Delivery Director and documented.
  • Ensure professional management standards are adhered to.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Enthusiasm and drive to develop and deliver a transformation programme.
  • Ability to motivate, encourage and influence to ensure the team buys in to the new ways of working.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving change management within a service line
  • Ability to think strategically and collaborate with the other members of the Finance and Accounts Senior Leadership team to set and agree on priorities.
  • Able to communicate effectively with individuals at different levels of seniority both internally and externally to Liberata.
  • Experience of, and the desire to, work with teams and improve their performance.
  • Professional qualifications or an equivalent level of experience.
  • An in-depth service delivery background, preferably in a commercial outsourced environment.
  • Local Government Sector specific service delivery expertise.
  • Sound problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent prioritising, planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to respond to changing demands with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills together with excellent people skills
