This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We are seeking to recruit a Head of Operational IT who will be based from home but must be able to attend regular onsite Client meetings in our offices in Burnley/Nelson area, as well as travel to other UK sites to meet with your teams. This is a senior role and will require a seasoned IT professional that has experience of delivering first class IT Operations to internal and external stakeholders, leading technically diverse teams, supporting Bid opportunities, setting an IT strategy, and managing a P&L.

The successful candidate will:

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Deliver effective client IT Operations Management within Liberata. Ensuring ITIL best practices are implemented and followed.
  • Act as Senior supplier for client projects, developing a strong understanding of the projects impact and ensuring service impact is minimised and agreed with stakeholders.
  • Direct internal and client service review meetings covering performance, service improvements, quality, and processes.
  • Deliver and agree appropriate IT deliverables with Liberata Service Towers and clients ensuring delivery of client contractual and service plan commitments.
  • Direct operational IT delivery managers to achieve the agreed Liberata and client outcomes.
  • Define and drive the implementation of pro-active, robust, and appropriate monitoring of OLAs, KPIs, SLAs.
  • Report to the Executive IT Director any Operational IT performance or service issues and risks.
  • Own the IT Operations service BCP and DR plans.
  • Deliver the Finance budget for the service including 3-year plans and monthly reporting.
  • Own and ensure development, maintenance and adherence to IT and Corporate policies.
  • Ensure IT Roadmaps are maintained and communicated with the Service Towers.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Excellent knowledge of Service Management Delivery – ITIL
  • 10 years in the IT industry with 5 years in an IT operations senior role.
  • 5 years’ experience managing an IT Service/Operations environment.
  • Broad and up to date knowledge of the IT landscape across both infrastructure and application delivery.
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • Supplier management experience
  • Excellent presentation skills to senior internal and external organisation leaders.
